What Do You Have To Lose By Rallying Against Obama
What do you have to lose when running for president? That's a question many of the political hopefuls are asking themselves these days. The question is not so much what do you have to lose but what do you have to gain and how you plan to gain it. Unfortunately, the other half of the equation is holding some pretty ugly answers for black Americans this election season.

First, what do you have to lose by trying something new? That's a loaded question and the answer could vary from candidate to candidate. On Friday the candidates met with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation for their final debate before the June 5th primary. During the meeting President Obama presented his Stimulus Package and laid out his plans to help spur up the economy. Most of that stimulus package is focused on higher wages and job security, however some areas of the package were left out.
One of the unmentioned items in the Stimulus Package that President Obama should have mentioned was the minimum wage for African Americans. Studies have shown that African American teens are statistically affected more by poverty than any other group of youth. If President Obama had mentioned the minimum wage during his address to the economic forum on Friday, it might have won him some brownie points with some of the black community in Michigan. It would have been nice to hear "Why do I have to lose my job?"
Another thing President Obama should have mentioned is the recent pandemic of swine flu. Not everybody in America is safe from contracting the swine flu. However, African Americans, Hispanics, and Asians are at a higher risk. Why is that? Well, President Obama and his administration did not mention that because they want the American people to believe that if they get the flu, it will be automatically transmitted to everyone they come in contact with.
Hillary Clinton also touched upon welfare during her town hall meeting. However, her answer was not what most black Americans were hoping to hear. In fact, one question that was asked by a voter and subsequently quoted by the media was; "What do you have to lose if you get the grant?" Hillary Clinton said;
That question was a rhetorical question. The answer was not what most black Americans were hoping to hear. According to news reports, the most popular hydroxychloroquine cure is called covid-19 symptoms. This is codeine-aspartate, which is a very strong painkiller. According to news reports, Hillary Clinton was advised by her physician to take this into consideration before she becomes the first women U.S. Senator from New York. Apparently, her physician did recommend hydroxychloroquine-aspartate, but Hillary Clinton was apparently unaware that it was classified as a Schedule II drug, which means it has a high potential for abuse.
On the other hand, Hillary Clinton may not be the first black candidate to seek the highest office in the United States, but she could become the first female nominee for the Republican presidential nomination. Many African-Americans and Hispanic Americans are likely to vote for Mrs. Clinton because of her stance on welfare and her vote against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. These forces are likely to propel Mrs. Clinton into the lead in the democratic nomination process. The real question then for the Republican Party is, what do they have to lose by putting out a conservative ticket with someone who can energize the party and get America moving again, instead of sitting on their laurels.
One thing that the Republican Party should be concerned about is the impact of a Hillary Clinton rally and YouTube video on the future of black Americans and the future of the Democratic Party. If the former first lady, senator, secretary of state and current democratic presidential candidate makes a campaign appearance next week with Senator Obama, the outcome of the election could very well be decided by who among the various parties forms their greatest majority. There is little doubt that if Hillary Clinton is allowed to campaign in Pennsylvania, she will win, but will the new politics of division in American politics benefit the Democrats? That may yet prove to be the question of the last primaries and the election.
