What do you have to lose? The question sounds like an answer straight out of a sci-fi movie starring George Clooney and Bill Murray, but the reality is that President Obama and his political team are probably planning to use the Rally to further their efforts to make healthcare reform and get the United States government off the hook from its obligations to health insurance companies. There's no doubt about that. But you also have to ask yourself what do you have to lose?

what do you have to lose

If you're an American citizen by the age of eighteen, you have to know what do you have to lose by going to Washington and voting against the reelection of President Obama. There are many other reasons to oppose his re-election, however. Not only do you have to face the fact that you'll be the first president to lose any election since WWII but you also have to recognize the limitations of your party in this election. The Republicans have a majority in both houses of Congress and they will not be able to move legislation through a normal legislative process that the Democrats can easily block. They will not be able to push their agenda through either the House or the Senate without the support of the American public.

On the other hand, what do you have to lose by trying something new? You might lose your health care, your Medicare and Medicaid benefits, your food stamps, your fuel tax or other federal revenues. That's a lot of lost revenue. The stimulus package put forth by the Obama administration may provide some additional money for the unemployed but it doesn't address the core problem of not keeping America healthy and strong. And the biggest problem of all is our nation's ballooning and unsustainable budget deficit, which continue to grow due to the failed policies of the last administration.

Hillary Clinton said, "You've got to be willing to make some sacrifices," in reference to her plan to help African Americans and other minorities achieve prosperity and success. But what do you have to lose? What do you have to gain? You have to vote for the most experienced and proven professional that is going to fix our country's economic system once and for all. And the question posed to you is; what do you have to lose? You have to learn what it takes to build a sustainable and vibrant economy that will provide not only security and opportunity for your family but the economic security for you and your children.

A candidate's ability to connect to black voters has become even more critical in this campaign than in any other. Hillary Clinton does not have the best personal relationship with black people, but she does have a lot of respect for the black community. She understands their struggles and they understand her. She realizes that it is important to win over black voters and continue to do well in states such as Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio. If she wants to continue to grow her lead among black people, she must continue to reach out to the communities of everywhere including Chicago and St. Louis.

The question posed to you is; what do you have to lose by trying to turn out your vote in Chicago, Michigan, and other cities where African Americans are strong. In other words; what do you have to loose if you vote for Hillary Clinton? If she wins the election, you will have a chance to experience what it feels like to have millions of Americans behind you. But if she loses then you may have to endure the bitter taste of defeat.

Another question asked to you is; what do you have to lose if you vote for Obama. He is an African American man with a decent family life and he has been brought up in America. Although there are some things about which you may not agree, as an African American you have nothing to lose. But if you believe that a black man in America is better than a white man then you may have to give up your right to complain about something that most white Americans would never dream of complaining about.

If Obama is re-elected then I guarantee you that within four months of his taking office you will have another pandemic. This time it will be fiscal. You will have another recession. And within four months of that recession you will have another election. What do you have to lose by voting for Hillary Clinton?
